Haerty wins title at Freeride World Tour as U.S. and France dominate in Andorra

French snowboarder Marion Haerty clinched the 2019 Snowboard Women Freeride World Tour title after dominating her category all year before putting in a dominant performance in Andorra.

Haerty was the first of four possible champions to be crowned, and the only one who has clinched her throne ahead of the season final at Switzerland’s Verbier resort later this month.

In the men’s snowboarding American Blake Hamm finished ahead of overall leader Victor De Le Rue even though the Frenchman holds a healthy lead going into Verbier.

The men’s skiing, won in Andorra by Frenchman Leo Slemett seems to be all but settled for Italian Markus Eder who holds a huge lead over second placed Swede Kristofer Turdell.
