The US government donates equipment help to prevent the spread of COVID-19

The United States Ambassador to Sri Lanka Alaina B. Teplitz, on behalf of the American people, presented a donation of equipment that will help protect airport personnel at the Bandaranaike International Airport and prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The donation of Dupont Tyvek coveralls, nitrile gloves, heavy-duty work gloves, boot covers, and cleaning supplies was received by Chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority, Retired Major General G.A Chandrasiri. The donation is part of U.S. efforts to assist Sri Lanka. The United States has pledged to spend up to 100 million US dollars in existing funds to combat the COVID-19 internationally, demonstrating continued U.S. leadership in the global fight against infectious diseases.
