Serena Williams landed in Auckland ahead of the ASB Classic tennis tournament.
She was seen at the airport with her two-year-old daughter Alexis Olympia, her mother Oracene Price and her coach Patrick Mouratoglou, before heading to the courts to begin training. Williams last competed in the tournament in 2017 and was eliminated in the second round.
Williams is currently No. 10 in the WTA rankings and was recently named the Associated Press’ female athlete of the decade.
She last played in the finals of the U.S. Open in September where she lost to 19-year-old Canadian Bianca Andreescu.
