Borussia Moenchengladbach beat Paderborn 2-0 to move on to 34 points in the Bundesliga table, second on goal difference behind RB Leipzig.Second-half goals from Alassane Plea and Lars Stindl gave Glabdach the comfortable victory.
The hosts took the lead 12 seconds into the second half after Paderborn lost possession shortly after kickoff and Lars Stindl passed the ball to Alassane Plea in the penalty area who struck it first time past goalkeeper Leopold Zingerle.
Stindl then scored from the penalty spot in the 66th minute after the referee used VAR to overturn his decision and award a spot kick for Paderborn defender Sebastian Schonlau’s foul on Patrick Hermann.
