The Satyagraha campaign of differently-abled soldiers and their family members ended opposite the Fort Railway Station today.
United National Front Presidential candidate SajithPremadasa has said that he would submit a Cabinet paper to grant solutions to differently abled war heroes who are on fast and their family members.
SajithPremadasa arrived at the location where the differently abled are staging fast unto death near the Colombo Fort Railway Station this morning. He also assured them that he would personally come to the location tomorrow and intimate the solution found by the Cabinet to them.

SajithPremadasa told the war heroes that they were receiving a salary at present. He said that they were also receiving a disability pension. This is applicable to them only until 55 years. It is not operative to grant them until their lifetime. To give it until their lifetime and in between if any damage is caused to them to ensure that it be provided to their wife or mother. The Minister said that he would submit this proposal to the Cabinet on behalf of them. He said he had the right to represent their opinion. SajithPremadasa assured that he would do the maximum he could.
Addressing journalists, he said that he visited the war heroes who saved the country from the terrorists. He was a person who renders a service on behalf of the war heroes. He said that in the past war heroes were provided with houses and charge 800 thousand rupees. His opinion is that the maximum support should be extended to the war heroes. He added that he would present the opinion of the war heroes to the Cabinet and would visit them tomorrow to inform the progress.
