HK people celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival with fire dragon performance

More than 300 people played a 67-meter long fire dragon to the beating of drums and gongs at Tai Hang in China’s Hong Kong Special Administrative Region to celebrate the traditional Mid-Autumn Festival. With a history of more than a century, the fire dragon dance has been inscribed in the national intangible cultural heritage list. The 67-meter-long fire dragon features flashlight as the eyes, steel chips as the teeth, hemp ropes wrapping into the body and pearl grass as the body. On the body was inserted with 12,000 incense sticks. When the incenses are lit up, they lights the evening sky.
