Rublev beats Carreno Busta to reach Hamburg Open final

Andrey Rublev of Russia reached the Hamburg Open final after defeating Spaniard Pablo Carreno Busta 4-6 7-5 6-1. Carreno Busta, ranked 59 in the world, 19 places higher than Rublev, broke the Russian’s serve in the third game of the first set which he served out to lead the match. The second set saw two breaks of serve each in the opening eight games before Rublev broke again in the 12th game to level.

The 21-year-old, aiming for his second ATP Tour singles title, will face defending champion Nikoloz Basilashvili of Georgia final after he beat Germany’s Alexander Zverev 6-4, 4-6, 7-6 (5) in the first semi-final.
