Several development projects in Seethawaka vested with the public

A series of development projects accomplished in Seethawaka was vested with the public under the patronage of Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.

The development activities were carried out under the ‘Sukitha Puravara’ project of the Ministry of Megapolis and the Western Development. The public grounds constructed in Padukka under the project was vested with the public under the aegis of the Prime Minister. The cost that was borne by the government for the project is 64 million rupees. The public grounds extends to three and half acres also has a jogging track and a car park. The Premier unveiled the newly constructed weekly fair in Hanwella as well. The cost of the project is 75 million rupees. 320 traders can be accommodated in the weekly fair. The opening of the access road to the Mundigala Aranya Senasanaya was held under the aegis of the Prime Minister. The government had spent 6 million rupees to develop the road under the Gamperaliya initiative. The Premier who arrived at the Aranya Senasanaya called on chief incumbent venerable Millewe Mahinda thera and obtained blessings. Afterwards, the Prime Minister joined the launching of the construction work of the Commercial complex in Seethawaka pura at a cost of 500 million rupees. The two storeyed complex is constructed by the Urban Development Authority.
