GMOA asked to pay one billion rupees

Minister Rajitha Senaratne has sent a notice to the Government Medical Association Officers to pay him within three weeks one billion rupees as compensation for damaging his reputation.The Notice has been given to pay the amount due to the damage to his reputation for creating a false opinion in the society due to the statements of the Government Medical Officers Association.

The Minister in his notice has stated that his reputation has been damaged due to the statements of the GMOA at a media briefing on 17th June 2019 or on a nearby day. Minister Rajitha Senaratne is a Member of Parliament since 1994 and a Dental Graduate of the Preadeniya University.

The notice states that the GMOA has launched publicity programs to damage his political history of 25 years. The Notice has informed the GMOA to pay a compensation of one billion rupees within three weeks and also to refrain from making more false statements.
