Former Maldivian President calls on all nations in the world to visit Sri Lanka

Former Maldivian President and incumbent Speaker Mohamed Nasheed has called on the people of all countries in the world to undertake tours to Sri Lanka and assist the island nation. Noteworthy is this request made by him from the time of his arrival at the Katunayake International Airport.

Former Maldivian President and incumbent Speaker Mohamed Nasheed and his entourage arrived in the island this morning. The delegation included the Vice President of the Maldives and Cabinet Ministers, Parliamentarians and a group of representatives of the Maldives ruling Democratic Party. The visitors were extended a rousing welcome at the Katunayake international Airport. Parliamentarian Kavinda Jayawardena and Vice Chairman of the Airport and Aviation Services Company Priyantha Kariyapperuma were among those who greeted the delegation. Mohamed Nasheed said that a disaster to Sri Lanka was considered as a calamity that happened to them and that the aim of his tour was to express support to Sri Lanka.
