PM at the Sedawatta Weheragoda historic temple

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe has pointed out that publicity is not needed to protect and follow Buddhism while attending a ceremony at the Sedawatta Weheragoda historic temple.Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe who arrived at the historic Sedawatta Weheragoda temple engaged in religious practices. The Maha Sangha led by Ven. Ambepola Gnanaloka thera chanted Seth Pirith and invoked blessings on the Prime Minister. Thereafter, he planted a sapling at the temple premises. The Prime Minister launched the renovation work of the shrine room at the temple. The renovated abode at the temple was also declared opened. Chief Monk of the temple Ven. Ambepola Gnanaloka thera expressed his views about the place given to Buddhism by the proposed constitution. Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe pointed out that there was no draft or a document on the proposed constitution.
