PM refers to the Government’s dedication to development in Jaffna

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe has said that the United National Front was making a massive dedication and a major focus on development in Jaffna. The Prime Minister emphasized that development will be carried out according to views and agreement of the MPs in the area. Premier Wickremasinghe made these observations vesting several development projects of the Jaffna District in the people.
The Prime Minister first vested in the people the new Divisional Secretariat at Kopai in Jaffna. 40 million rupees was spent on its construction. Six newly constructed Divisional Secretariats have already been opened in the Jaffna District. Six more are under construction.
Expressing his views on the occasion, the Prime Minister pointed out that the Government expected to make the peoples service more efficient by granting these physical facilities.
A group including Minister Vajira Abeywardena, State Minister J.C. Alawathuwala and Parliamentarian Dharmalingam Siddarthan was present on the occasion.
In the meantime, the Jaffna District Review meeting was held under the patronage of Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe at the Jaffna District Secretariat.
Giving his views on the occasion, Premier Wickremasinghe said that his prime intention was to bequeath an upgraded standard of living and a better future to the people of the Northern and Eastern Provinces who were battered by the war situation by accelerating the development activities.
