Presidential Commission of Inquiry on Fraud and Corruption begins entertaining complaints

The Presidential Commission of Inquiry appointed to inquire into fraud and corruption that are said to have taken place in state establishments during the period 14th January 2015 to 31st December 2018 has commenced entertaining complaints.
The Commission is tasked with conducting a comprehensive and impartial inquiry with respect to fraud, corruption, breach of criminal trust, misuse of property and the misuse of state resources and privileges.
Complaints or information with respect to these matters can be directed to the Secretary, the Presidential Commission inquiring into fraud and corruption in state institutions, Room No 210, Second Floor, Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall, Bauddhaloka Mawatha, Colombo-07. Complaints can be sent in Sinhala, Tamil or English Languages. Anyone willing to give details verbally can do so on contact numbers 0112 66 53 82 by getting an appointment date.
The Presidential Commission is headed by Retired Supreme Court Judge Upali Abeyratne. The first interim report of the Presidential Commission is due to be handed over within three months. The final report containing decisions and recommendations is slated to be presented to the President within six months.
