Lausanne Swim Cup ends with several meet records

The Lausanne Swim Cup saw several meet records set on its second and final day in Switzerland. Three time Olympic champ Katinka Hosszu claimed victory in the 400-metre medley but had to settle for second place finishes as Canadian teenagers narrowly defeated the Hungarian in her other two events. 17-year-old Kayla Sanchez set a new meet record as she outdueled Hosszu in the 100-metre medley while 18-year-old Taylor Ruck defeated Hosszu in the 100-metre backstroke. French swimmers Charlotte Bonnet and Jeremy Stravius won five gold medals between them with Bonnet setting new meet records in the 200-metre freestyle and 50-metre breaststroke. Stravius took the top step of the podium in the 100-metre medley and 50-metre free and set his own meet record in winning the 100-metre butterfly.
