Hosszu dominates at Lausanne Swim Cup

Three-times Olympic champion Katinka Hosszu of Hungary won three races in the Lausanne Swim Cup, day one of the two-day short-course event.Hosszu secured the first of her victories in the women’s 200 metres backstroke, clocking 2 minutes, 3.65 seconds. Taylor Ruck of Canada was second, with Germany’s Jenny Mensing third.In the women’s 200 metres butterfly, Hosszu comfortably won in a time of 2:08.30, finishing 2.63 seconds ahead of Alexandra Wenk of Germany. Hosszu, the FINA female swimmer of 2018, also triumphed in the women’s 200 metres individual medley, where the Olympic champion clocked 2:07.82.Ranomi Kromowidjojo of the Netherlands won the 50 metres butterfly, finishing ahead of Canada’s Penny Oleksiak, and the 50 metres backstroke.Henrik Christiansen of Norway took victory in the men’s 400 metres freestyle and Marco Koch of Germany won the men’s 100 metres breaststroke.
