Mikael Kingsbury fights off illness to win second moguls World Cup of the season

Canadian freestyle skier Mikael Kingsbury fought off food poisoning as he won his second moguls World Cup event this season and the 51st of his career in Thaiwoo, China. The Olympic gold medalist posted a winning score of 90.31 despite his illness to claim a fifth straight victory in China. Japan’s Ikuma Horishima managed a score of 87.68 to claim second and Kazakhstan’s Dimitriy Reikherd came in third on 86.92. Kingsbury, who holds the record for the most world cup wins, claimed to have lost six pounds in body weight the previous day due to the sickness.
