A case against not implementing SAITM verdict

The case which has been filed against not implementing the verdict given by the court of appeal letting the students who completed MBBS degree at the SAITM to get registered at the Sri Lanka Medical Council was taken up today.

The case has been filed against members of the Sri Lanka Medical Council on the charges of contempt of court. Dilmi Suriyarachchi a student of the SAITM has litigated. Acting Chairman of the Sri Lanka Medical Council and 16 respondents appeared before the court to answer the allegations. The Attorneys appeared before the other respondents pledged to produce them before the court on next hearing. The court ordered all the respondents to appear before the court on the 23rd of January.
