Heavy fog disrupts traffic across China

Dense fog enveloped several provinces across China disrupting traffic and air travel. According to the provincial meteorological observatory of east China’s Anhui Province, dense fog shrouded many parts of the province from, reducing visibility to less than 50 meters. The meteorological observatory issued an orange alert for fog, and 25 expressway entrances across the province were temporarily closed. Traffic on the affected expressways gradually resumed.
Meanwhile, Video showed pilot whales who had died in a mass stranding on a remote New Zealand island at the weekend. The Department of Conservation said two pods of pilot whales were stranded on a beach on Stewart Island, 30 km south of New Zealand’s South Island. Half of the whales were already dead when they were found by DOC officers, who were notified by a hiker camping in the area.
