Newly constructed Stupa at LankaJi temple in Japan will be unveiled

The newly constructed Stupa of first Theravadi Buddhist temple in Japan, LankaJi Temple, will be unveiled on the 28th of this month.

The temple is situated in Savaara Kathori town in Japan.  Sri Lanka ambassador to Japan, Prof. Ganganath Dissanayake will preside over the opening ceremony. Philanthropist, Jagath Ramanayake has funded for the construction of the Stupa and commenced its construction in 2017. Sacred relics were enshrined in the Stupa on the 18th of this month. The structure has been constructed to sustain shocks from the earthquakes.
