Trump says he will probably meet with Putin in Paris

U.S. President Donald Trump and Russia’s Vladimir Putin plan to meet in Paris next month, their first encounter since a summit in Helsinki that unleashed a storm of criticism that Trump was cozying up to the Kremlin. The leaders are expected to take part in an event in Paris to commemorate the end of World War One on 11th of next month.

Meanwhile, Russian president Vladimir Putin and U.S. national security ADVISOR John Bolton exchanged a series of light-hearted comments in the Kremlin, as they discussed the two countries’ shrinking ties. The Russian leader joked if the eagle on the American emblem has lost its symbol of peace – the olive branch, to which Bolton replied that he “did not bring any more olives”.

Putin was speaking days after Trump said he wanted the United States to quit a landmark arms control treaty. He told Bolton that Russia was sometimes surprised by what he said were unprovoked actions that Washington took against Moscow.
