From oxygen tanks to psychedelic logs, diverse works in Paris’s biggest art fair

Paris’s biggest art fair FIAC returned for its 45th year to the grandeur of Grand Palais, spilling onto the city’s squares, featuring a diverse set of artists and art works, from paintings and sculptures to installation pieces. A total of 195 galleries from 27 countries displayed their collections at this year’s fair. Among some of the most expensive sales so far this year was American painter Philip Guston’s work ‘Martyr’, which sold for $6.9 million. There has been an increase in international visitors and artists this year, with galleries from Peru, Norway and Ireland showcasing their work for the first time. The FIAC is one of the world’s biggest contemporary art fairs, with an average of 75,000 visitors annually.
