Two model villages vested with the public

Minister Sajith Premadasa says that the only aim of the opponents is to enhance their family power by instigating religious animosity, racism or setting fire and destroying the country. He said that the Government has created an era where everyone can live in reconciliation in a unitary country by eliminating race and religious differences.

The Minister said this during a function to vest with the public Willudu-nagar and Subitchcham-nagar model villages built at Northern Kokuvil in the Batticaloe District. 36 million rupees has been spent to build the two villages under the Samata Sevana Yali Pibidena reawakened village program. The two villages with 43 houses have all necessary facilities. 43 housing recipients were given housing ownership certificates and ownership of 43 plots of land. 250 families were given Visiri housing loans to the value of 10 million rupees and Sonduru Piyasa housing loans to the value of five million rupees. Deputy Minister Zaid Ali Saheer Moulana, MP G. Ganeshan and Batticaloe Mayor Thyagaraja Saravanabhawan were present on the occasion.
