Prime Minister refers to importance of strengthening the export economy

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe has emphasized the need for the creation of a new tourism culture. He also underlined the importance of further strengthening the export economy of the country.
Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe made these references joining as the Chief Guest at the 53rd Annual Conference of the Hotel Forum. The Conference was organized at the Shangri-La Hotel in Colombo. Several persons dedicated on behalf of the Hotel trade received Awards from the Prime Minister
Speaking further the Prime Minister pointed out that they had the ability of developing the tourism industry. This industry is subject to daily changes.
The Prime Minister said that we should think anew and work together. More incentives can be given after achieving successful results by displaying after working. Hotel schools should be built before putting up hotel rooms. We are ready to grant relief to these hotel schools too. Work for the launch of more hotel schools. The Prime Minister told that gathering that the cause for the improvement of the hotel industry is the outstanding services discharged by you. The standard of the industry is not being decided upon cement or concrete used for the building of the hotel or else the decorations. There is a shortage of hotel schools in the island. The tourism industry cannot be developed if new hotel schools are not built. The Prime Minister said that everyone should work together to make the tourism industry a large profit earning industry. The Prime Minister pointed out that their intention is to attract 20 million tourists for the country which has a population of 20 million.
