Rea sets new Superbikes record with tenth straight win

Northern Ireland’s Jonathan Rea set a new Superbikes record in Argentina after battling to his tenth consecutive race win. Kawasaki rider Rea sat in seventh place after two laps but immediately went to work and by lap 8 was battling with polesitter Xavi Fores for the lead. By the end of lap 9 Rea was in control and finished more than three seconds clear of second placed Barni Ducati rider Fores. The final podium spot went to Marco Melandri after he got past his Aruba. It Ducati teammate Chaz Davies on lap 16.
