Keheliya Rambukwella’s case on misappropriation of funds will be heard again on the 11th of next month

The case filed against three defendants including former Minister Keheliya Rambukwella over the misappropriation of state funds to the tune of over 900 thousand rupees purchasing 600 pipes claiming that it was for a promotion programme of the Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation, was taken up for hearing at the Colombo Fort Magistrate’s Court today.

The Bribery Commission has filed this case saying that this incident had occurred during the period 02nd to the 10th of December 2014.

The other defendants of the case are former Rupavahini Corporation Chairman Wimal Rubasinghe and Former Director General Chandrapala Liyanage. The case is due to be taken up for hearing again on the 11th of January next year.
