American Michael Goulian powered his way to a home win at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway to grab the top spot in the Red Bull Air Race World Championship standings. Goulian piloted his Zivko Edge 540 around the course in 1 minute 6.208 seconds to earn his second win of the season and take a five point lead over Czech pilot Martin Sonka in the overall standings. Canadian Pete McLeod finished second in 1:06.736 with French pilot Nicolas Ivanoff claiming the final step of the podium with his 1:06.951.
