Fenati handed two-race ban for Moto2 brake incident

Francesco Bagnaia of Italy may have taken the Moto 2 race honours at the San Marino Grand Prix, but it was Romano Fenati’s antics that grabbed all the headlines. The Italian rider was disqualified after 23 laps of the race in Misano, Italy, for grabbing Stefano Manzi’s right brake at 140mph. Manzi, who had earlier attempted to overtake Fenati which forced them both off the track, managed to recover his balance on his Suter bike. Fenati, who drives a Kalex bike, has been banned for two races by the sport’s main body, FIM, but many MotoGP and Moto2 competitors are calling for much tougher action.
