Adorable lion cub trio make their debut in South Carolina zoo

An adorable trio of three-month-old lion cubs made their public debut  at the Riverbanks Zoo and Garden in Columbia, South Carolina, stepping out for the first time into their exhibit enclosure with their attentive lioness mother, Thabisa. The three female African baby lions were already in the public spotlight through the zoo’s popular ‘cub cam’ which has created quite a fan base since their birth in April. Thabisa was bred following recommendations from the Association of Zoos and Aquarium’s African Lion Species Survival Plan.  The station said the cubs will only by on public display for short periods to allow the lion family to go back into their den and nap. The zoo plans to allow the public to help name the three cubs and said it would release more details later this week.
