Minister Malik Samarawickrema says that there has been a significant development in exports and investment sector during the past year. He said this during a media briefing in Colombo. Minister Malik Samarawickrama said that the exports were only 12 billion dollars. He said that by last year the country has exported goods to the value of 15.15 billion dollars. He further said that they expected to export 17.4 billion dollars of goods. Investments of 1.9 billion dollars have been received. He said that they expect investments to the value of 2.5 billion dollars this year.
