Thirty school children were killed in northern India when a bus carrying them fell into a gorge. The bus was returning from school in the Himalayan state of Himachal Pradesh when it fell off into a 200-feet deep ravine. The driver and a teacher were among the victims. The chief minister of the state said 27 children had died, but the number was later revised to 30. Seven pupils were battling for their lives.
