China will upgrade the speed of the Beijing-Shanghai high-speed train to 350 km/h starting from September, according an announcement by the China Railway Corporation. Starting from September 21, seven pairs of the train “Fuxing”, China’s latest electric multiple units bullet train, will start running at a speed of 350 km/h, cutting the journey time to about 4.5 hours, about half an hour faster than the current minimum. Designed with a maximum speed of 400 km/h, the train “Fuxing” is currently operating at 300 km/h on the Beijing-Shanghai line, one of the busiest lines in the country.
