A group of eight maintenance workers are committed to performing extraordinary duty to guard a high-speed railway bridge in southwest China’s Guizhou Province during the Spring Festival travel rush. The bridge maintenance team is made up of eight boys with an average age of 24. They used the extraordinary method to guard the 721-meter long bridge, the Beipan River Bridge, with the span of the main bridge being 445 meters. To test the strength of the bridge, the team has to climb 1,405-stairs up to the arch of the bridge, with the deep water below. For this, they have been honored as an “extreme special work group”.
