Tiger Woods played nine holes at Torrey Pines alongside Jason Day and Bryson DeChambeau, as he makes his final preparations for his return to the PGA Tour. Woods, who is expected to hold a news conference, will tee off in a group with Charley Hoffman and Patrick Reed. Torrey Pines is the public course along the Pacific bluffs which once served as Woods’ personal playground. He won eight times as a pro there, including the 2008 US Open. He looked healthy and strong in the Bahamas, when he tied for ninth at the Hero World Challenge in an 18-man field. Scouting reports from the elite in golf who have played with him over the last few months have been glowing in his praise.
