The 29th Mangyongdae Prize International Marathon took place in Pyongyang, the capital of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, with more than 1,400 runners from over 50 countries taking part. This year’s marathon features four categories: the full course, the half course, 10-kilometer and 5-kilometer recreation run. Among the runners, more than 500 are foreigners. Spectators in the stadium can also enjoy exhibition match played by top-level football teams in DPRK. Disabled people were for the first time allowed to take part in the event that lasted for more than two hours. Both men’s and women’s title were claimed by local runners.
