Northern youth now stakeholders of development

The young men and women of the North have not taken to development kits on behalf of the motherland’s future instead of possessing the gun. This is the tale of humanity which dawn to the North through the “Uthuru Wasanthaya” Programme

The young men and women of the North lost their youth hood and their hopes for a better future dashed on behalf of a ruthless terrorist leader who was endeavouring to meet his ends. School children had to take to arms and enter the battlefront instead of going in search of methods of winning the future world through their knowledge. These innocent young men and women, forgetting their teenage were embroiled in a struggle which was not possible to be realized. This unfortunate era which devastated the future world of a generation has ended.
Thousands of youths who went in search of life through the Nanthikadal Lagoon were directed to Rehabilitation Centres for a new change in their life. Accelerated programmes were mooted on the orders of the President to make them stakeholders of the nation’s future. They are no more ready to dedicate their teenage for a dream which could not be realized at all. They are now equipped with proper training to join in national unity and brotherhood in the mega development drive which would enrich the country. Everyone witnessed how wedding bells pealed for these rehabilitated young men and women, who had earlier been brainwashed by the terrorist outfit to achieve its ends.
Wedding bells pealed for more than one hundred young men and women who had relinquished terrorism and entered new life amidst the blessings of the entire country. Armed with computer technology and vocational skills, they now look for a prosperous future. Miracle of humanity

Now we bring to you in our Prime News bulletin the feature in the month of May, when the victory of the achievements of humanity vanquishing terrorism, was being commemorated.

It was during the end of the 1970 decade that Sri Lanka where peace, reconciliation and brotherhood reigned was shattered by terrorism. The brutalism which was unveiled with the assassination of the Mayor of Jaffna Alfred Doraiappa to meet the end of the terrorist leader, brought death for many civil Tamil leaders of the North. The unarmed leaders who awakened the voices of innocent Tamil civilians gave up their lives in the face of bombs and firearms.
IS THIS THE NATURE OF THE WORLD’S OST DISCIPLINES FORCE.
LTTE terrorism started spreading stage by stage devastating villages and killing the innocent. The first round of talks between the government and the terror outfit was unveiled in Thimpu in 1985. The talks failed. The LTTE resumed killing civilians in their thousands transforming the discussions into a joke.
IS THIS THE NATURE OF THE WORLD DISCIPLINED FORCE AS SEEN BY SOME
Now India mediates in solving the Northern conflict. India attempted to find a peaceful solution through constitutional amendments granting new powers to the North. But the attempts came a cropper due to LTTE’s obstinacy. Finally the Indian Prime Minister had to sacrifice his life.
IS THIS THE NATURE OF THE WORLD DISCIPLINED FORCE
The Chandrika Kumaratunge administration extended an invitation to the LTTE for a new path on behalf of peace. A ceasefire was also declared. However, the LTTE within a short span resumed their attack, breaching the ceasefire. The third Eelam war which resumed in this manner took away thousands of lives.
IS THIS THE NATURE OF THE WORLD DISCPLINED FORCE WHICH SEARCH BOR BRUTALISM ON BEHALF OF PEACE
The LTTE again entered into a ceasefire in 2002 leaving a break for the brutalism unleashed by them devastating property and lives. The LTTE gave up the talks which were unveiled by the then government giving the optimum facilities to the terrorist outfit. However, the Government attempted to safeguard the ceasefire. But the LTTE flouted the ceasefire more than two thousand instances undermining these efforts. They also displayed their ruthlessness by not only killing the Foreign Minister but also the Deputy Chief of the Ceasefire Monitoring Office.
IS THIS THE NATURE OF THE WORLD’S DISCIPLINED FORCE
But the people’s friendly leader succeeded in ending this sour era where brutalism was spread throughout the country. Peace reigns. No bomb explosions or killings are reported. This was mainly due to the Miracle of Humanity of the war heroes who advanced in a most disciplined manner with the state leader who was dedicated on behalf of that genuine peace.

ISN’T THIS A FLAGRANT VIOLATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS?

This is the Victory Month which commemorates the pride of re-establishing humanity after winning the second freedom struggle of the nation.

Terrosim played havoc in almost all parts of the country. A brutal terrorist leader produced human bombs on behalf of a dream that would not become a reality. Innocent civilians became victims. A fence was built dividing the brotherhood that existed between the North and the South. The track for the operation of Yal Devi from the North to the South was obstructed. It was devastated by the terrorist. They did not stop there. A bomb was hurled at the Yal Devi train and shattered into pieces. There was an era in which the rural fraternity in the villages bordering of the North and the East had to die in the face of terrorist attacks. The voices against the terrorists were subdued by the gunfire of brutality. Hundreds of lives were lost at Kithul-uthuwa, Arantalawa and in Pettah in face of terrorism while there were not protests raised from the world. Not only the Airport and the Oil Terminal, but the Central Bank was also exploded. But the country was left in the lurch.
However, the country succeeded in routing the terrorists creating a peaceful atmosphere. The children who trod the Wanni, Mannar nd Kilinochchi will hereafter not hang cyanide capsules in their necks. They can also pursue their studies in schools sans fear and suspicion. There will be no threats to children ads well as adults from the terrorists. They can breathe sigh of relief in buses, Railway Stations and even at their work places. All this has been done by a prudent leader.

Bow Wow Show!

What’s a Dog Show? Why show off your doggie?

The Kennel Association of Sri Lanka had their 76th Dog Show yesterday at the Viharamahadevi Park in Colombo. This was organised in association with Browns Company Ltd. So what’s the purpose of having an annual dog show?

Well, pedigreed dogs are a huge business. Taking care of them, training and feeding and the works can be pretty expensive. Breeding them is another matter altogether. You would want your dogs to be of a clean gene-pool but you would also want to prevent inbreeding. So you need another highly pedigreed dog to breed with your own. People spend a huge amount of money on this, so how do you find the best?

Dog Shows of course. It is here, that dogs are being judged by their breed as well as their behaviour. It is here, that your hard work and training is paid off and your pooch can earn a well deserved high value.
