Notices have been issued on Yoshitha Rajapaksa to appear in Court on the 16th of next month. The Mount Lavinia Magistrate’s Court issue the notice based on a request made by the Financial Crimes Investigation Division.
The Financial Crimes Investigation Division has indicted him over a land and house situated at Mihindu Mawatha in Dehiwela. Yoshitha Rajapaksa was not present, although the case was taken up for hearing before the Mount Lavinia Additional Magistrate today as notice had not been issued on him. However, his grandmother Daisy Forez who is said to have given this land to him, was present in Court.
Considering the submissions made, the Additional Magistrate issued notices on Yoshitha Rajapaksa ordering him to appear in Courts on the 16th of next month. The case is due to be taken up on this day.
