Yoshitha Rajapaksa and his grandmother Daisy Forest failed to appear during the survey in their controversial land in Mihindu Mawatha, Mount Lavinia.
Mount Lavinia Additional Magistrate Lochani Abeywickrema Weerasinghe, granted permission for the land to be surveyed today upon request by the FCID last week.
Officials of the FCID arrived at the land at 10.00 am this morning for the survey. Six officials of the Survey Department were also present. After staying for two hours the group has left. FCID said the courts will be notified regarding the incident.
In the meantime Yoshitha Rajapaksa has sought permission from the Colombo High Court to travel aboard. He had informed the judiciary that he wanted to leave the country to seek medical treatment. High Court Judge A.A.R. Heyiyanthuduwa fixed the consideration of the request to the 22nd of this month, after Yoshitha Rajapaksa’s lawyer informed court that he is unable to attend the court proceedings today.
