A workshop on the new aircraft surveillance system has commenced in Colombo.
The aim of the workshop is to study the issues pertaining to the implementation of the aircraft surveillance system in countries in the regions of South-east Asia and Bay of Bengal and find the solutions. Attention will be drawn at the parley on using eco-friendly and low-cost aircraft surveillance systems equipped with state of the art technology.
The workshop was inaugurated under the patronage of Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation Nimal Siripala de Silva. The event is being attended by delegates from twelve countries. It will continue until Thursday.
