Work on five bridges at a cost of 1540 million rupees has commenced in the Dambulla electorate.

Construction work on the five bridges commenced in the Dambulla electorate under the aegis of Minister Basil Rajapaksa. Three bridges are coming up within the Pallepola Divisional Secretariat Division while a bridge is being conducted in the Dambulla town and at Galewala.
30 million rupees will be spent on the Polwatte Bridge. It will be 18 feet long. The length of the Olaganwatte Bridge will be about 20 feet. It will cost 35 million rupees. The Galkaduwa Bridge which will cost 35 million rupees will be 22 feet long. The 14 foot long Thammannaela Bridge is estimated to cost 24 million rupees. 30 million rupees will be spent on the Welamitiyawa Bridge in Galewala which will be 18 feet long. Minister Janaka Bandara Tennekoon and Central Province Ministers and Councillors were present.
