The Justice Ministry has taken initiatives to fill vacancies existing in the judicial sector. Accordingly the handing over of 180 letters of appointment is scheduled to take place under the patronage of Minister Wijeyadasa Rajapaksa.
These appointments are being given to execute an efficient service expected by the people in the administration of justice. The appointments have been made taking into consideration the vacancies existing in the entire judicial network including the Magistrate’s Court, the District Court, the High Court, Provincial Courts and the Supreme Court.
According to the Ministry of Justice a sum of 1400 million rupees had been spent on the construction of judicial complexes during the last two years under the programme of enhancing judicial facilities.
