The student who attacked the Assistant Principal of a school
at Labuduwa in Galle with a cricket stump has been remanded until the 18th of this month. The ruling was given when the related case was taken up for hearing before Galle Chief Magistrate Nilupuli Lankapura.
It was reported yesterday that a student studying in Grade 12 had attacked the Assistant Principal of a school in the Labuduwa area in Galle. The Assistant Principal is receiving treatment at the Karapitiya Teaching Hospital. The student was apprehended by the Akmeemana Police. He was produced in the Galle Magistrate’s Court today.
The student had said that as he could not bear the way he was continuously bullied by the Assistant Principal, he assaulted him. The Akmeemana Police is continuing investigations into the incident.
