Sajith Premadasa reveals how war heroes were betrayed two weeks after the war

Minister Sajith Premadasa has revealed how the leaders of the past regime betrayed the war heroes two weeks after ending the war. The Minister said that they made this betrayal even by signing agreements when the former United Nations Secretary General arrived in the island.
Minister Sajith Premadasa said that two weeks after the end of the war the international agreement betraying the war heroes was signed with Ban Ki-moon of the United Nations. It was not President Maithripala Sirisena or Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe who signed agreements on tribunals consisting of international judges. He said that it was the Commander in Chief who ruled the country in the past who accepted there had been human rights violations in the country after the end of the war.
The Minister was speaking at the opening of the Seenimunna Multipurpose Building at Lunugamvehera in Hambantota. The expenditure incurred on the construction of this building under the programme of uplifting 15,000 villages was built at a cost of two million rupees.
