Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe will be leaving for New Zealand tomorrow.
It will be the first visit to be undertaken to New Zealand by a Sri Lankan Prime Minister. He will be undertaking this three-day official visit at the invitation of New Zealand Prime Minister John Key.
The official ceremony to welcome Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe will be held at the State House in Auckland on Saturday the 01st. It will be followed by bilateral discussions between the two Prime Ministers. Several bilateral trade agreements including one related to the milk food sector are expected to be signed during this tour.
The Prime Minister and his entourage are due to join in several official business and community programmes to be held in affiliation to the Auckland, Vaikoto and Wellington cities in New Zealand.
Ministers Sagala Ratnayake and Harin Fernando, State Minister Sudarshani Fernandopulle, Deputy Minister Dr. Harsha De Silva, Prime Minister’s Secretary Saman Ekanayake, Prime Minister’s Senior Advisor Charitha Ratwatte, Prime Minister’s Additional Secretary Saman Athaudahetti and Prime Minister’s Special Assistant Sandra Perera are due to join in this tour.
