Prime Minister refers to the initiatives taken to strengthen the economy

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe has said that the next two years are decisive for the Sri Lankan economy. The Prime Minister pointed out that Sri Lanka would be taken to a significant economic framework so as to successfully face the future situation identifying climatic conditions. He said this addressing an international conference in Colombo.
The Public Forum of the International Organization of Securities Commissions’ Committee for Developed and Emerging Markets began in Colombo this morning.
Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe was the chief guest at the forum.
The Prime Minister said that Sri Lanka is proud to host the conference in the face of significant initiatives mooted by the Government to building a strong economy. Sri Lanka is now traversing on the correct path. Action is being initiated to transact with the international and also win the international market. The Prime Minister said that various initiatives are being taken to carry forward the future activities sans falling into debt. He said that Sri Lanka has already signed several bilateral agreements and mentioned that regaining the GSP Plus facility was a great victory. There is institutional stability for businesses. He added that the Sri Lankan economy was moving on a separate path.
