The Centenary walk of the Lions Club of Sri Lanka was held under the patronage of Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe.
The walk organized on behalf of the centenary commemoration commenced from opposite the Vihara Mahadevi Park in Colombo. The walk commenced only after the commemorative badges were pinned on the Prime Minister and the special guests.
A notable feature was the participation of Indian national Naresh Agrawal who is scheduled to become the President of the International Lions Club for the years 2017 and 2018 in this walk.
Lions Governors of six Districts in Sri Lanka and more than 3000 representatives of Lions Clubs participated in the walk.
Arrangements were made to hold various programmes throughout the day, parallel to the centenary commemoration.
