PM condoles death of Ven. Brahmanawatte Seevali Thera

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe has said that the death of Lekakadhikari of the Amarapura Nikaya the Ven. Brahmanawatte Seevali Thera, respected by all Sinhalese and Tamils is an irreparable loss to the country. The Prime Minister made this comment issuing a condolence on the death of the Thera.
The Ven. Thera was ordained as a priest in the year 1951 and had obtained a Bachelor of Arts and a doctorate in Tamil from the Madurai University in India. Excelled in Tamil, the Ven. Brahmanawatte Seevali Thera became much popular in the delivery of sermons in Tamil. He also headed several Vihares and had also authored many books.
In his condolence message the Prime Minister said that the Thera also gave him advice on various occasions for his political journey.
