Wildlife Officers and Police have carried out an operation to capture the Tiger that wounded seven laborers in the Panmura estate, Hatton. The Wildlife Officers attached to the Udawalawe and Nallathanniya wildlife offices joined the operation.
Plantation workers expressed their dissatisfaction saying that the wildlife officials did not take immediate action to capture the tiger. The tiger hurt the estate workers yesterday. Wildlife officers say that the operation to capture the animal is continuing. The estate workers also support the endeavor to capture the beast. Assistant Director of the Central Province Wildlife Department E.M Weerasinghe stated that steps have been taken to fix a special trap to catch the tiger.
