New Zealand team due in November to explore investment opportunities

A high level delegation from New Zealand is due in the island in November. Its purpose is to explore investment opportunities. This was revealed by the New Zealand High Commissioner to Sri Lanka.
High Commissioner Grahame Morton made this revelation during a meeting with President Maithripala Sirisena at the President’s Office. The New Zealand High Commissioner said that the programmes mooted by the new Sri Lankan Government along with many transformations needed by the island nation came in for appreciation by the New Zealand Government including the Prime Minister. The New Zealand diplomat praised President Maithripala Sirisena for his dedication to building a self-sufficient economy uplifting the agricultural industry.
The New Zealand High Commissioner who assured every support for the uplift of the agricultural sector, mentioned that a high level delegation of businessman will be arriving in Sri Lanka in November to explore investment opportunities.
President Maithripala Sirisena called on the New Zealand High Commissioner to impart the advanced technology used in his country for the agricultural industry and the dairy industry. There was a positive response from the New Zealand diplomat to this request. The President also sought support to develop inland fishery production.
The President thanked the New Zealand Government for the initiatives taken for the wellbeing of the 3000 Sri Lankans domiciled in New Zealand. He also applauded the support given by New Zealand for development activities in Sri Lanka.
