The Sri Lanka Navy has succeeded in rescuing six fishermen who had faced an accident. The six fishermen who were stranded in a multi-day trawler in the Southern seas were rescued by the Navy in this manner. The multiday trawler had ventured into the sea from the Hambantota Harbour, on the 21st of last month. The boat was floating in the sea due to an engine failure. They were at a distance of around 240 nautical miles and were drifting in the sea. The Navy found it difficult to bring the trawler to the shores due to rough seas. However, the fishermen were finally brought to the shores.
