Government says prorogation of Parliament has no negative impact on its operations

The Government has stressed the prorogation of Parliament has no negative impact on the functioning and operation of the Government. This has been mentioned in a statement issued by the Information Department.
After midnight yesterday, the first session of the eighth Parliamentary session which commenced on September 02nd 2015 was ended. This was done by the President issuing a special gazette notification, in accordance to the powers vested in him in the Constitution.
The Government Information Director General has issued a statement with respect to ending the Parliamentary sessions. The statement mentioned that the Parliamentary activities due for the sessions that ended can be presented to the new sessions.
Also on the 08th of May, the day the new sessions will begin, the President is due to announce the future path of the Government delivering his Throne Speech.
